Being Passionate

I have been in love with the idea of becoming a game designer for as long as I can remember. The skills I've cultivated up to this point have only served to deepen this passion, ultimately leading me to the top ranked master's program in game design: Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA).

Somewhere between falling for video games and attending FIEA, my affinity for problem-solving led me to the Computer Science program at the University of Central Florida. During my bachelor's degree, I became proficient in C-family languages, object oriented programming, and discrete structures.

However, my background is not limited to programming. I also earned a Public and Professional Writing Certificate, and acted as project manager on many development cycles I was part of. These experiences made me a strong communicator, leader, technical writer, and creative visionary.

Today, my experiences at FIEA challenge me to combine my technical knowledge and creative vision in new ways. I've come to learn about the importance of software design patterns, target audiences, and communicating in interdisciplinary spaces. All of this has further solidified my ability to develop innovative and compelling games, and I can't wait to see where my journey takes me next.
